Submit your recipeIt turned out really good. I replaced 1/4 of the white sugar with brown sugar and I used store bought pie crust instead of homemade. I sliced the apples a little thinner than in the video too because my family likes ours on the soft side. I also sprinkled cinnamon sugar on the top instead of just white sugar. 👍🏼
O just followed the recipe and added brown sugar instead of white sugar! Yummy😋
Finding this recipe is like finding the love of your entire life. Ode to crust. Is legendary. Is a fundamental crust I will use in every pie until I die. The taste of butter is folded in so gently yet outstandingly underlined by salt. You can feel every gastro atom. Its overall simplicity is truly genius. World will never be the same. Thank you, Tasty.

When I made this the dough was really hard to work with and I couldn’t figure out why. I looked back at the video and I realized that the video says 8 tablespoons of water while the ingredients list says 4 tablespoons of water. I would definitely recommend using eight instead of four. Four is not enough to make the dough stick together enough to roll out.
If you don’t want to do the cliche top, look up different pie toppers. I did this and it came out delicious. PS if you are using a black tin instead of a glass tin, bake for 20-30 minutes. Happy baking!
This is a great recipe! I've never really made pies before, but with this recipe I'll have to start making them more often! The crust especially turned out amazing, nice and flaky! I followed the recipe completely and everything was delicious. Would definitely recommend this to others.
Came out delicious and looking good
My boyfriend and I made it from scratch. We only changed up the crust, and I have to say it was pretty great! But we did end up using red apples instead of green ones because that’s all that we had on hand.
I thought that this recipe was very good. This was actually the very first pie I ever made.
Make sure to pinch the top and bottom layer of dough together securely otherwise you might get spillage in the oven while baking, I would recommend using an oven liner if you have one just in case. Also, 1/2 a tbsp is enough to sprinkle on top of the pie, I did a whole tbsp and a lot of the sugar just sat on top of the pie. Definitely making again!
mine was pretty good
I just used this recipe for the pie crust. AMAZING! The inside is the filling from blueberry slab pie but only a half. It came out very good. I cooked it for around the same time as this recipe calls for.
