How do I add recipes and ingredients to my Tasty Grocery Bag?
Tap the “Add Items to Grocery Bag” button on the recipe page.

How does the Tasty Grocery Bag work in the Tasty app?
When you add items to your Tasty Grocery Bag, we’ll only add the amount you need to make the recipe.
If you are shopping ingredients from multiple recipes, any items that are needed for multiple recipes will be grouped under a section labeled “Shared Ingredients”.
What is the section labeled “Pantry Ingredients” in my Tasty Grocery Bag?
Pantry Ingredients are pantry staples like salt and pepper – items we think you might already have at home. These items will be listed in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app if they’re needed for a recipe, but are automatically not added to your order. If you’d like to purchase them, simply tap the blue “+” button for that item, and that item will be added to your Tasty Grocery Bag.
What if I want to select a different brand for a product in the Tasty Grocery Bag?
Tap the “Swap” button under any item in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app. From there, you’ll be able to switch to a different brand of the same product. For example, if a recipe calls for rice, and you want a different brand of rice, you can make that substitution directly in the Tasty Grocery bag. However, if a recipe calls for rice, and you want to use potatoes instead, you won’t be able to make that substitution within the Tasty Grocery Bag. Once you tap the “Check out with Walmart” button, you’ll be taken to Walmart where you’ll be able to search for and add potatoes to your order.
Why do you need my location?
We ask for your location in order to give you the most up-to-date estimated pricing and availability information for the products we show in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app.
Are the prices I see in my Tasty Grocery Bag accurate?
All pricing information displayed in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app is estimated and does not include tax. You will be able to see final pricing, including any additional taxes and fees once you leave the Tasty app to check out with Walmart.

Preparation
Drain and rinse the jackfruit, then cut into smaller pieces, removing the core.
In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once the oil begins to shimmer, add the onion and cook for 4-5 minutes, until semi-translucent.
Add the garlic, salt, and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the garlic is fragrant. Add the jackfruit, chili powder, paprika, cumin, and liquid smoke, and mix well. Add the vegetable broth, cover, and cook for 15 minutes, until the jackfruit is soft enough to be mashed.

Preheat the oven to 400ºF (200ºC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mash the jackfruit with potato masher or a couple of forks, until it looks pulled or shredded.
Transfer the jackfruit to the baking sheet and spread in an even layer.

Bake for 25 minutes, until the jackfruit is slightly browned and crispy.
Make the coleslaw: add green and red cabbage and carrots to a large bowl. In a small liquid measuring cup, combine the mayo, mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper, and mix until creamy. Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss the coleslaw until the dressing is well-distributed. Set aside.
Remove the jackfruit from the oven, and pour the BBQ sauce over. Mix well.
Return to the oven, and bake for another 10 minutes, until the edges are slightly crispy.
Use a large bread knife to cut the whole sheet of slider buns in half. Remove the top and set aside. Spread the BBQ jackfruit on the bottom half of the buns, then top with coleslaw.
Okay, the jackfruit was amazing and all, but this coleslaw is where it’s at. I added a bit extra Dijon mustard to it, and oh man, this changes the game.

Pretty easy and really delicious! Was actually a little on the spicy side, perhaps from the chili powder. At any rate, I’d definitely make this again!

Obviously it's not going to taste EXACTLY like pork, but it's a close second! I didn't have liquid smoke so I used smoked paprika instead. I would probably leave it in the oven a little longer with the BBQ sauce, maybe like 12-15 minutes

This was delicious! I made it for non-vegetarian friends and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. I’m making it again tonight! Highly recommend it but agree with others, if you are not into spicy food, reduce the chili powder.

This is super good! I am a meat eater but I have a vegetarian boyfriend, so I’m always looking for good vegetarian/vegan recipes that can satisfy the both of us. And this is definitely one of them! He and I were so impressed and it was a very good pulled pork substitute! It definitely satisfied a meat eater like me!

I would recommend tasting it after u remove it from cooking on the stovetop for 15mins.
Also i accidentally put the bbq on the jackfruit when i put it in the oven. I thought i ruined it but it added this mesquite/smokey like taste to tge bbq.
Didnt have the cabbage but i added spinach and green onions. Good recipe!

I loved this. Made the bread from scratch, and wanted a good recipe to make the pulled pork from scratch too. This is perfection!

Tastes almost like meat, except it has a chewy and soft texture. I don't think I will make this again though.

Super tasty, but I would go easy on the chili powder that they suggest. It was pretty spicy for us and we even enjoy spicy foods.
