Submit your recipeMake sure you put some sort of sauce with it as the meatballs them self were a bit dry
They are super good, I didn’t add any soy sauce or anything, however I used onion powder instead, about 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon. They make, if using an ice cream scooper, 16 “meat” balls. They are fairly sturdy, they don’t fall apart too easily. Again, a really good recipe!
5 stars!! I didn’t had any yeast and I also didn’t use any egg (only because I forgot) and they didn’t fall apart! Also for more flavor: when doing the onions I added celery and mushrooms, added spices and a bit of soy sauce :)

Wow! I lucked out in finding this recipe! I recommend this to everyone. One note, I don’t have a food processor, so I used a blender. Not as great, I had to mash up the chick peas up a bit with a fork.
Made these twice now. Big hit both times with different crowds (meat eaters included!). The raw blended mixture is a little more resistant to shaping than I would like, but I don’t know what to do to change that 😊 regardless, it worked out in the end both times & the flavor is great!
I didn’t have chickpeas but I have a can of four beans which included chickpeas, kidney beans, red beans and another bean and it tasted just as nice!
The best meat substitute I’ve ever had!! But if you want the perfect ball shape I would recommend a ice creams scooper. They were a little dry so I would make some gravy to go with it 👏
Great recipe! I added twice more garlic because I love the taste and used purple onion to resalt the mixture. I just added all the ingredientes in the blender and then formed the balls and baked. Also had to add more bread crumbs because the preparation was very sticky (I added a lil of chickpeas liquid to help the blender)
I made the mistake of trying to make my own whole wheat bread crumbs (I had trouble finding some) so they were really sticky and didn’t hold together right. That being said. They tasted amazing and I added a little bit of normal breadcrumbs to the mixture for the next batch and it made actual balls that held up! It tastes amazing!
I had some trouble shaping them into balls, all the mixture just sticked in my hands, I don’t know what I did wrong I just add a bit more of breadcrumbs while shaping. Besides that they were really good!
The texture was really nice, I did not add the egg. And used (gluten-free) pats instead of breadcrumbs. Perhaps fry the onion and garlic first for a deeper flavour, or add some soy sauce/tamari. And eat with a mushroom sauce. (Also with tomato pasta they are good) or flat as an appetizer 😊
Had them in a wrap with chilli mayo, fantastic!
