How does the Tasty Grocery Bag work in the Tasty app?

If you are shopping ingredients from multiple recipes, any items that are needed for multiple recipes will be grouped under a section labeled “Shared Ingredients”.
What is the section labeled “Pantry Ingredients” in my Tasty Grocery Bag?
Pantry Ingredients are pantry staples like salt and pepper – items we think you might already have at home. These items will be listed in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app if they’re needed for a recipe, but are automatically not added to your order. If you’d like to purchase them, simply tap the blue “+” button for that item, and that item will be added to your Tasty Grocery Bag.
What if I want to select a different brand for a product in the Tasty Grocery Bag?
Tap the “Swap” button under any item in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app. From there, you’ll be able to switch to a different brand of the same product. For example, if a recipe calls for rice, and you want a different brand of rice, you can make that substitution directly in the Tasty Grocery bag. However, if a recipe calls for rice, and you want to use potatoes instead, you won’t be able to make that substitution within the Tasty Grocery Bag. Once you tap the “Check out with Walmart” button, you’ll be taken to Walmart where you’ll be able to search for and add potatoes to your order.
Why do you need my location?
We ask for your location in order to give you the most up-to-date estimated pricing and availability information for the products we show in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app.
Are the prices I see in my Tasty Grocery Bag accurate?
All pricing information displayed in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app is estimated and does not include tax. You will be able to see final pricing, including any additional taxes and fees once you leave the Tasty app to check out with Walmart.

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bring a small pot of water to a boil, then place a strainer over the top. Add the green beans to the strainer, cover, and steam for 10-15 minutes, or until fork-tender. Set aside.
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a medium pot over medium heat. Once the oil begins to shimmer, add the onion. Cook for 2 minutes, or until semi-translucent.

Add the mushrooms and cook for 5-6 minutes, until they have released the majority of their juices. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, the garlic, and soy sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the garlic is fragrant.
Stir in the flour to make a roux, then season with salt and pepper.
While stirring continuously, pour in the non-dairy milk and bring to a boil. Cook for 4-5 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.

Stir in the green beans and ½ cup (75 g) of the fried onions, until combined. Transfer to a medium baking dish and sprinkle on the remaining cup of fried onions.
This was delicious and a huge hit at Thanksgiving dinner! I used cashew milk which I think complemented the dish really well. I also used cremini mushrooms (and more than the recipe calls for because I am a mushroom whore) and i think it added to it in a great way. I will be making this in the future and it will always be my dish to bring for Thanksgiving!

I had to add a little flour to thicken it up, otherwise it turned well. This was my practice dish. I’m planning to make this for Thanksgiving.

I made a soy/gluten free version with almond flour and coconut liquid aminos (in place of soy sauce). I had to use about twice as much almond flour and it’s probably a little grittier than regular flour but freaking delicious. I obviously used gluten free fried onions as well. Turned out great!

I have been dairy and wheat free for 3 months. This recipe SAVED THANKSGIVING!!! It was amazing! My husband thought the same! The only thing I tweaked were the onions... fried up my own in gluten free bread crumbs. Making it again for the week, so good!!

Super delicious! I didn’t know what non-dairy milk was so I ended up using regular milk. Came out great & creamy. Would be nice if it includes the exact amount of salt & pepper to use. Didn’t change any ingredient measurements. I added turkey breakfast sausage crumbles. Pork would be better alternative. My 10 yr old stepdaughter & my pregnant wife loved it

To make this recipe gluten-free, so I substituted the flour for corn starch and it was still amazing!
