Submit your recipeMade this and LOOOOOVED IT. I make ratatouille every few months and never thought to try making it in the skillet. Love the idea so much. I layered it more like a flower and used grated cheese in between the layers. Turned out great and I got use one pan for everything. Match made in heaven.
Used my food processor with the slicing attachment.... had some inconsistencies so just stuffed them between and in the middle. Purée alone is AMAZING for veggies, meat, pasta anytime. Took longer to cook but probably because of my inconsistent pieces. SOOOOO GOOD!!!!!! Added dried parsley, garlic & onion powders.
Definitely a cozy meal! Paired it with some cubed steak and a salad; my family loved it. Make sure to cut the vegetables/potatoes while preparing the purée because it takes awhile.

Amazing! I wouldn't change anything!
It takes waaaay more time to bake it thoroughly (1.5 extra hour for me). Anyway, it tastes amazing, especially with some garlic bread.
I made it as is stated in the recipe. It came out amazing. Just make sure you cut the veggies thin so it’ll cook properly. Also, cooking it in a cast iron skillet made it cook evenly.
I used whatever squashes I had in the house. turned out great!
We added Parmesan cheese before the oven, and it tasted great! I paired this with an easy homemade YouTube bread (*The Stay At Home Chef - Rustic Garlic Parmesan Bread*). I’d double the purée recipe. Otherwise, great dish. **Pro Tip - I went to Walmart & bought a mandolin to help slice veggies. This saved time, & helped chop quickly with consistency. $22.
If you can, try to buy everything in a comparable size. It will make your life easier. My apple slices were bigger than everything else, but they curled up on top and looked pretty. Oh I had to put it in for an additional 15ish minutes, the potatoes were still a little too al dente after the recommended time.
Good, but I’m not sure if I would include any apples next time
I had to substitute some of the ingredients because it’s not fall but it came out good. The slices were big but it all came together. I used yellow squash and zucchini, instead of the mentioned squash. I also just added more orange sweet potatoes because I couldn’t find purple ones. This was so very good. With the leftover veggies and fruit, I made soup.
So much easier than I thought it would be! I’m not super experienced so I was so happy that this recipe was easy to follow and turned out just the way I hoped it would!
