These items will be listed in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app if they’re needed for a recipe, but are automatically not added to your order. If you’d like to purchase them, simply tap the blue “+” button for that item, and that item will be added to your Tasty Grocery Bag.
Tap the “Swap” button under any item in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app. From there, you’ll be able to switch to a different brand of the same product. For example, if a recipe calls for rice, and you want a different brand of rice, you can make that substitution directly in the Tasty Grocery bag. However, if a recipe calls for rice, and you want to use potatoes instead, you won’t be able to make that substitution within the Tasty Grocery Bag. I first soaked the chicken over night in a basic salt sugar brine. Then I took a knife and cut slits into the entire chicken. Rubbed 90% of the jerk rub and allowed to marinate for 4 hours. Then I baked it at 400* for 50mins. Mixed some ketchup with water and the remaining 10% of jerk rub, baste chicken then I broiled it on normal heat for 10mins.
Absolutely beautiful recipe. Obviously use the amount of pepper (scotch bonnet) you can take (more or less)

The only thing I changed was the jerk marinade, I used a chipotle pepper base marinade. But, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AS GIVEN. The chicken came out beautifully, and super juicy. My husband saw it and thought I burned it. I showed him the video and he was like “omg, it looks just like the video!”
you could just use this jerk seasoning instead.... I make jerk chicken at least once a week with it.
I used this recipe on my Thanksgiving turkey and it was amazing!
Love this recipe. Used on a Cornish hen. I followed the recipe but didn’t change measurements for a smaller bird so I had extra marinade. Going to try next time on the grill !
This recipe reminds me so much of home. It gives the right amount of spicy and flavor. I actually tried this recipe on a young turkey and grilled it, and forgot to take a picture. The turkey was tender and juicy. I recommend this recipe on all poultry.
My grocery store didn't have scotch bonnets or habaneros in stock. I used jalapeños in place and it was still really tasty!
Make sure to add oil !!
I didn’t make my own jerk seasoning bc I have one that I’ve always used however I’ve never cut a whole chicken and baked it like that and it was a game changer!! (also the Tasty brand kitchen shears from Walmart almost didn’t cut through it so I was a tad disappointed in them)it did take an hour to bake too,the breast was still pinkish after 50min
