Submit your recipeI followed the recipe step by step but it looks overcooked. Insides are amazing though, it’s just this part got burned. Weird
I used one of the Asian rice cookers that has setting and it turned out well, tasted Fantastic although the skin of the orange (rind?) tasted horrible maybe try cutting off the rind or use the part that you used for zest.
I love everything about it especially the simplicity of it ❤️

Use oil instead of butter for the rice cooker . Put a generous amount and it wont burn. Tastes really good. I recommend using a buttermilk pancake mix. Also leave it in for 40-60 mins because it depends on your rice cooker.
super tasty! would recommend that you just don’t eat the orange rind
Well after several attempt I realize that for the most important timing of it all this time setting of the rice cooker,I live in japan and use a Japanese rice cooker that allows you to adjust time setting. After mixing everting together I simply set the rice cooker at 28minutes and also you should cut your orange thin. Thanks and hope this helps 😊😊😊.
Placing the sugar around the bottom of the rice cooker just burns the top of the cake even if the bottom is still not yet fully baked. Maybe it would be better to just skip the adding the sugar on the rice cooker itself. Overall, it is still good and simple to make. And also, I think that the rice cooker needed for this one has to be of a special kind.
it tastes gross, but everyone else in my family loves it. the smell honestly makes me sick. but if you do want to make it use a tiger rice cooker it doesn’t burn the top of the cake.
You will need the right rice cooker to accomplish this cake. If you have the Zojirushi rice cooker and it has the cake option then definitely make this one. It’s amazinng!!!
we made this in a bundt cake in the oven instead of rice cooker, for 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees. it turned out amazing! it doesn't look exactly like tasty's did but it's very yummy and aesthetically pleasing with the orange slices! I saw a lot of people's burned. I suggest putting it in for less time and if it needs more cooking, then add more time. :)
I took of the rind. I didn’t add that much sugar to the bottom, but it still got a little “crispy” on it. Toothpick cane out clean, but still needed to cook about 5-10 minutes. Will have to try this again.
I bake using my Electrolux rice cooker and set 1 hour. It came out just nice! Love it 😍...
