These items will be listed in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app if they’re needed for a recipe, but are automatically not added to your order. Submit your recipeSo good! I doubled the pumpkin spice based on another tip posted here and it worked great! I only baked it about 45-50 minutes and it was moist and fantastic! I also only had ground flaxseed so no whole flaxseeds in it. I will definitely make this again, but will probably make a smaller batch (we couldn’t eat it all in time, as it’s very heavy!)
I couldn’t find pepitas and I wasn’t too sure about figs, i like them but they contain a little too much sugar, so I ended up kinda swapping pepitas with coconut flakes (some more fibers) and just skipping on the figs. I really really like it. It’s healthy and just one slice keeps me full till lunch! considering making it every week as part of my meal prep!
Thanks for previous tip on doubling the pumpkin spice ( I made it my own ) - it was delicious!!!

Was so good! Making this again today and didn’t have enough ingredients so i used along with the pepitas: cashews and Brazil nuts. And not enough figs so added dried cranberries.
Replaced papitas with unsweetened shredded coconut. No dried fruit at all. Extra teaspoon of pumpkin spice and 1 teaspoon of regular salt. I only had flaxseed meal. Delicious. No flour no dairy. Healthy.
Instead of pumpkin unused sweet potato. I added sunflower seeds and hazelnuts and it was FIRE! My mom said I should throw in dark chocolate chunks but that felt like too much going on. I'll make it again but I think I'll make it less sweet.
If figs are too expensive, I have used prunes as a good substitute.
I didn’t realize how dense this would be, next time I make it I plan to put it in muffin tins for easier grab n go. Also add way more pumpkin seasoning! Flavor was more bland than expected.
I didn't find pumpkin spice and pumpkin puree in Dutch supermarket, so I made it myself. For pumpkin spice mix I used 4teaspoons of cinnamon, 2 teaspoons ginger, 1 teaspoon cloves, half teaspoon of nutmeg. The pumpkin puree I just used pumpkin and took in in a blender. Added a little bit of carrot and flour (spelt) as well and baked it for about an hour.
All I had was the sweetened pumpkin purée so I just didn’t add any sugar. I made a double batch and froze the other half, and the whole family loved it!
I did mine without the seeds
First time trying to bake and it was amazing!! I was missing a few ingredients and use quick cook oatmeal with pumpkin spice flavor instead. It turns to be good but you definitely need to change time for baking. It is a good recipe! Thanks for sharing
