What is the section labeled “Pantry Ingredients” in my Tasty Grocery Bag?
Pantry Ingredients are pantry staples like salt and pepper – items we think you might already have at home. These items will be listed in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app if they’re needed for a recipe, but are automatically not added to your order. If you’d like to purchase them, simply tap the blue “+” button for that item, and that item will be added to your Tasty Grocery Bag.
What if I want to select a different brand for a product in the Tasty Grocery Bag?
Tap the “Swap” button under any item in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app. From there, you’ll be able to switch to a different brand of the same product. For example, if a recipe calls for rice, and you want a different brand of rice, you can make that substitution directly in the Tasty Grocery bag. However, if a recipe calls for rice, and you want to use potatoes instead, you won’t be able to make that substitution within the Tasty Grocery Bag. Once you tap the “Check out with Walmart” button, you’ll be taken to Walmart where you’ll be able to search for and add potatoes to your order.
Why do you need my location?
We ask for your location in order to give you the most up-to-date estimated pricing and availability information for the products we show in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app.

Cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat.
Heat olive oil in a large saucepan or skillet over medium heat.
Add onions, stirring frequently until translucent.
Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
Add bell pepper, salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin, paprika, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and dried oregano. Stir until spices are evenly distributed.
Mix in black beans, corn, tomatoes, and cooked rice.
Fill squash halves with rice mixture and sprinkle with cheese.
Because others mentioned having extra rice, I needed to make at least 3 squash so I didn’t change anything in the recipe, just roasted an extra squash and I still had extra rice.
The recipe was a hit in my house and I’d definitely make it again.

I decided to make this without the squash and it still turned out great!

I’ve made this several times. It’s really good! And yes, it does make extra rice mixer, which is great to use for tacos, or to have with a fried egg on top!

Add the same seasoning in the rice onto the squash; the salt & pepper isn’t enough.

Interesting. A lot of flavor. The consistency is good, if you leave it in a bit longer than suggested. The acorn squash itself is a little bland so I recommend seasoning it before adding rice. Otherwise it’s p good. Don’t know if I’d make this exact recipe again... Might try diff ingredients next time, and save the rice mixture for tacos or something lol

The squash was slightly crunchy even after the 5 minutes of cooking to melt the cheese, but it added some texture and turned out great!

This yields a ton of rice mixture, which I use later for tacos and as a side dish alone. Love it!

This is hands down the best recipe I’ve tried from tasty so far! I added shredded chicken breast, used chicken broth instead of vegetable stock, and cooked the squash an extra 10 minuets. Turned out perfect!

So good! Had to improvise with some of the ingredients. Used quinoa instead of rice, no green pepper so I added spinach, can’t have dairy so no cheese and salsa instead of tomatoes. I had avocado but it wasn’t ripe yet lol. Will definitely make again; hopefully my avocado will be ripe next time 😂

It may help to strain the diced tomatoes as well. A little more juice than I thought!
