Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat a 9” X 13” (22x33 cm) pan with cooking spray and set aside.
- In a medium skillet over high heat, add bacon and water. Cook, stirring every 2 minutes until bacon is crispy (about 10 minutes). Once the bacon is crispy, remove it from the pan using a slotted spoon and set aside. Leave bacon fat in the skillet.
- In the skillet with the remaining bacon fat, add the onion and sauté for 3 minutes until softened. Remove from heat.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together bacon, onion, thyme, whole milk, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, kosher salt, 2 cups (200 G) of Colby-Jack cheese, and a ¼ cup (25 G) grated Parmesan cheese.
- Add in Charter Reserve® Goldenroast Special Recipe Turkey Breast, frozen broccoli, and cooked penne, mixing to coat everything evenly with the cheese and soup mixture.
- Pour half the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth with a spatula. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of Colby-Jack cheese. Add the rest of the pasta on top.
- In a small bowl, mix together the panko bread crumbs, melted butter, and remaining ¼ cup (25 G) of Parmesan cheese and sprinkle evenly on top of the pasta mixture.
- Bake for 30–40 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and bread crumbs are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven. Let cool for 5 minutes before garnishing with parsley and serving.
- Enjoy!

Used chicken breasts cooked in the bacon fat instead of turkey. Also used spinach instead broccoli. Only 1 tsp of salt and it was perfectly salty, do not add the full amount!

Made exactly as recipe states but instead of the turkey, I used 2 chicken breasts that I cut into small pieces and sauteed in pan with some garlic powder, onion powder and paprika. Have not tried yet because it just came out of the oven and casserole is lava but it smells magnificent.

Very good recipe just VERY salty. Next time I’m going to omit the additional salt. Other than that, very delicious.

It was better than I thought it was gonna be! We used ground turkey instead. Cooked that with the bacon. Added a few cloves of minced garlic with the onions. Did not add any extra salt and added some crushed red pepper and Italian seasoning. Let it broil for the last 5 minutes. Turned out really well.

This wasn’t for us. My kiddos even thought it tasted like it all came out of a tin. “Mom, is this dinner because you didn’t feel like cooking real fresh food?”

I halved the recipe because it makes a ton. I also made substitutions. chicken instead of turkey, didn't have bacon but I sauteed the onion in bacon grease, didn't have parmesan but I had Romano, didn't have Colby but I used half cheddar and Monterey jack, only used 1/2 tsp salt, was out of cream of chicken soup so I used cream of celery. praying. lol.
