These items will be listed in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app if they’re needed for a recipe, but are automatically not added to your order. Submit your recipeI made this amazing recipe and we enjoyed it with my family. I also made the bread myself. 😉
This was outstanding. I used about 2c less liquid and swapped 1c of broth with ripple original plant milk to add more protein. Also used an immersion blender to break up the broccoli and garnished with franks red hot. This vegan and her dairy-allergy husband were thrilled with a cheesy, flavorful end result.
Tastes good! Cook the broccoli and blend if you don’t prefer it as floret chunks. Sauté the onions and garlic for a little more flavor. Half of the recipe easily feeds four adults.

Impressed the non vegan parents, they said my vegan big sister would have been proud😂I sautéd the onion and garlic together first. Also used like 10 baby potatoes instead of the medium potatoes since we didnt have any in. Used 2 cups less broth than the recipe said. Makes enough for 4 pretty big bowls, rlly rlly good, so many flavours
Super super delicious soup! Only thing I would say is I don’t think this recipe called for enough broccoli. I would probably add an extra head of it, but I guess it depends on how much you like broccoli.
I'm not vegan but I was trying to go for a healthier alternative to Broccoli Cheddar, the soup was good but didn't satisfy my cheese cravings. But will make it again for sure when my vegan friend comes over.
I used only 4 cups of broth. Excellent!
Dice the veggies into smaller pieces if you don’t have a great blender. I used smoked paprika and it definitely gives that cheddar bite. My non-vegan mom gave this a thumbs up! A definite new family favorite.
YUM YUM YUM THIS WAS SO GOOD I LOVE IT! 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND
I used cayenne pepper Instead of paprika and it turned out even better
I found this pretty bland so I added garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, mustard powder and some smoke paprika. It made it a bit better but still needs work
I make this a lot. Last time, I decided to add a half a cup of hemp hearts at the same time as the cashews to up the protein and general nutrition. It was a hit, most people didn’t notice but I thought it added an increased creaminess to the soup. Also I prefer to roast the broccoli with olive oil beforehand and add it to each person’s bowl before serving
