How do I add recipes and ingredients to my Tasty Grocery Bag?
Tap the “Add Items to Grocery Bag” button on the recipe page.
If you have not yet shared your location, we’ll ask you to do so and ask you to select your preferred store location.
We’ll then match the ingredients in the recipe to available products in store and show them in your Tasty Grocery Bag!
How does the Tasty Grocery Bag work in the Tasty app?
When you add items to your Tasty Grocery Bag, we’ll only add the amount you need to make the recipe.
If you are shopping ingredients from multiple recipes, any items that are needed for multiple recipes will be grouped under a section labeled “Shared Ingredients”.
What is the section labeled “Pantry Ingredients” in my Tasty Grocery Bag?
Pantry Ingredients are pantry staples like salt and pepper – items we think you might already have at home. These items will be listed in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app if they’re needed for a recipe, but are automatically not added to your order. If you’d like to purchase them, simply tap the blue “+” button for that item, and that item will be added to your Tasty Grocery Bag.
What if I want to select a different brand for a product in the Tasty Grocery Bag?
Tap the “Swap” button under any item in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app. From there, you’ll be able to switch to a different brand of the same product. For example, if a recipe calls for rice, and you want a different brand of rice, you can make that substitution directly in the Tasty Grocery bag. However, if a recipe calls for rice, and you want to use potatoes instead, you won’t be able to make that substitution within the Tasty Grocery Bag. Once you tap the “Check out with Walmart” button, you’ll be taken to Walmart where you’ll be able to search for and add potatoes to your order.
Why do you need my location?
We ask for your location in order to give you the most up-to-date estimated pricing and availability information for the products we show in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app.
Are the prices I see in my Tasty Grocery Bag accurate?
All pricing information displayed in your Tasty Grocery Bag in the app is estimated and does not include tax. You will be able to see final pricing, including any additional taxes and fees once you leave the Tasty app to check out with Walmart.

Preheat your oven to 400ºF (200ºC).
Drain and rinse the jackfruit, then cut the jackfruit into smaller pieces, removing the core.
Add the olive oil, onions, garlic, salt, and pepper to a large frying pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté until the onions are tender and become translucent.

Holy cramoley this was good! I stewed 2 cans of green jackfruit with vegetable broth and 2 tablespoons of Weber Smoky Mesquite BBQ dry rub spice. After baking it in the oven I tossed it with some Diana Gourmet Western Smokehouse BBQ sauce. I even shared it with people at work and they were amazed it wasn't meat!

I made this using a crockpot and it turned out amazing! Just threw it all in there, set it on low for 6-7 hours and done. Also, I used half the recommended amount of chili powder.

Was absolutely perfect! Mom loved it! Only thing just watch the type of barbecue sauce you use, or it could end up being too sweet! Served it topped with hummus because, well, hummus!

This is my go to recipe to feed to non vegans. I’ve had multiple people tell me they can’t tell the difference! I like to serve it with cabbage and vegan mayo, and toast the buns slightly.

This is super good! I am a meat eater but I have a vegetarian boyfriend, so I’m always looking for good vegetarian/vegan recipes that can satisfy the both of us. And this is definitely one of them! He and I were so impressed and it was a very good pulled pork substitute! It definitely satisfied a meat eater like me!

It was very good! A little chewy and ours turned out a little sweet and oddly very spicy but other than that very good! We also used an actual jackfruit an just cut it up ourselves, it was fun!

I made an Avocado Slaw to go on the sandwich and it was a delicious addition!
2 cups shredded broccoli slaw
1tbsp maple syrup (or whatever sweetener you like)
One full avocado
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix it up and slap it on the burger for an extra touch! Super delightful 🥰

I halved the chili powder after reading how spicy it was and I can’t imagine having used the whole amount. I will probably bake it about ten minutes longer next time to dry it out a bit more. Overall though it’s fantastic!

This is absolutely amazing!! I used Trader Joe’s canned jackfruit. I let it simmer for a bit longer than the recipe said. I also cooked it for a few minutes less! Next time I’ll try making the coleslaw!

Before you start. Know that you still have to prepare the jackfruit even though you bought it from a can. I looked it up on YouTube and it was pretty simple. You basically have to decore it and remove the seeds.
