Think of Botatouille as your digital sous-chef, built within the Tasty app to help you discover new recipes, improve your skills, plan new menus and tackle all of your cooking adventures from your mobile device.

Botatouille combines the power of BuzzFeed’s in-house Machine Learning systems, leveraging Tasty’s extensive library of recipes and data, with OpenAI’s ChatGPT API technology. This collaboration ensures that most of Botatouille’s recipe recommendations have been carefully vetted by our Tasty Team. Our goal is to make AI-powered culinary tools accessible and enjoyable for everyone!

Right now, Botatouille is great at answering ingredient-based questions like “I have chicken and tomatoes in my fridge, what’s a comforting recipe I can make for dinner?” Ask Botatouille to plan menus using questions like “what should I serve for my daughter’s birthday?” Botatouille can also answer technique questions such as “what’s the best way to cook an egg?”
