It’s made using just a handful of ingredients and is much simpler to prepare than traditional baklava, but you still get all of the amazing flavors. Ingredients

for 1 baklava English muffin

Baklava English Muffin:

  • ¼ cup walnuts, chopped
  • ¼ cup pistachios, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) salted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 english muffin, brioche is recommended

Whipped Vanilla Cream:

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 ½ tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping:

  • honey, for drizzling (optional)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Make the baklava English muffin: In a small bowl, mix together the walnuts, pistachios, melted butter, brown sugar, and honey with a spoon until well combined. Split open the English muffin and spread the nut mixture evenly on top of each English muffin half.
  3. Air fry for 3-5 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  4. Meanwhile, make the whipped vanilla cream: In a medium bowl, beat together the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla with a hand mixer until soft peaks form.
  5. Remove the English muffin from the air fryer and serve warm with a dollop of whipped vanilla cream and a drizzle of honey.
