Apple Cinnamon Steel-cut Oatmeal

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup maple syrup (55 g)
  • 4 apples, peeled, cored, cut into ½-inch (1-cm) pieces
