Banana Malpoa

Banana Malpoa

Ingredients

for 2 servings

  • 2 tablespoons whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 2 tablespoons semolina
  • ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
  • ¼ cup milk (60 mL)
  • 1 cup oil (240 mL), any kind

Preparation

  1. Mix the wheat flour, sugar, semolina, mashed banana, and milk in a bowl.
  2. Sprinkle the fennel seeds into the batter.
  3. Warm the oil in a frying pan. Scoop out the batter and place the batter in the hot oil in any shape you desire. Fry it till golden brown.
  4. Once both sides are cooked, take them out and place them on a plate. You can also line the plate with a paper towel.
  5. Fry the rest of the malpoas in the same way and stack them on the plate together.
  6. Let them cool for a few minutes, then serve.
  7. Enjoy!
