Ingredients

- 3 ¼ cups AP flour (400 g)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- milk, semi skimmed
- 2 ½ cups grated cheddar cheese (250 g)
- vegetable oil, for frying

Preparation
- Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder and once sifted, add sugar.
- Then, add milk until you achieve a dough-like consistency.
- Sprinkle the surface lightly with flour and roll out your dough to ½-inch thick.
- Once rolled out, sprinkle it with cheese. Once the dough is covered with cheese, fold over into a large rectangle and press the edges to seal the cheese in.
- Then, flip the dough over, flour, roll out to ½-inch thick and cut into small circles.
- .Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry circles on medium to high heat until golden brown and hollow.
- Drain and serve warm.
