Chicken Fajita With Sausage

Ingredients

for 6 servings

  • 1 lb chicken breast (455 g)
  • 1 link sausage, sliced, julienned
  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • garlic powder

Preparation

  1. Mix all the spices together. Use ¾ of this blend to season chicken breasts.
  2. In a pan on medium heat, add olive oil and saute onion and garlic. Add peppers and parcook, ~3 minutes. Set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add olive oil and cook the chicken for 10 minutes. Then, add sausage and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add veggies and remaining spice blend and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve warm alongside warmed tortillas.
