Ingredients
for 4 servings
- ½ lb chickpeas (250 g), soaked in warm water for 3 hours
- 2 teaspoons olive oil, or peanut oil
- 1 teaspoon black mustard seeds (3 g)
- ½ cup red onion (100 g), chopped finely
- 1 ½ cups curry leaves (25 g), and coriander leaves, chopped
- 1 tablespoon salt (10 g)
- ½ tablespoon turmeric powder (5 g)

Preparation
- Pressure-cook chickpeas. Then, heat oil in a saute pan on medium heat.
- Add the mustard seeds and fry until they pop. Then, add the onions and curry leaves to the pan and roast until onions are fragrant.
- Drain the chickpeas and add to the frying pan on medium-high heat. Roast for 5-10 minutes.
- To this mixture, add salt and toss mixture in coriander leaves and turmeric powder.
- Serve hot.
