Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

for 10 servings

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essense
  • 1 ½ cups sugar (300 g)
  • 3 eggs
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil (180 mL)
  • ¾ cup flour (95 g)
  • ⅓ cup cocoa powder (35 g)
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons icing sugar

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 315 •F.
  2. Combine the dry ingredients of flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, combine the oil, sugar, and vanilla essence together. Once combined, break and lightly beat the eggs in a separate bowl and add beaten eggs to the wet ingredients. Combine well.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients to combine together.
  5. Line a square baking sheet with baking paper and pour the brownie mix into the pan.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven, allow to cool, cut into squares and dust with icing sugar.
  8. Serve.
