Monster Cookies For Kids

Ingredients

for 6 servings

  • ¾ cup salted butter (180 g), softened
  • ⅔ cup peanut butter (160 g), creamy
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar (150 g)
  • ½ cup light brown sugar (100 g), packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour (185 g)
  • 2 ½ cups rolled oats (125 g)
  • 1 cup mini M&Ms (150 g)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350* F.
  2. In a large bowl or stand mixer, cream together butter and peanut butter until combined. Then, add in both sugars and cream together until fluffy.
  3. Slowly add in the eggs and vanilla until combined. Scrape down the bowl and mix thoroughly.
  4. Add salt and baking soda and mix well. Then, slowly incorporate flour until combined.
  5. Fold in oats with a spatula or wooden spoon. Then, fold in mini M&M’s.
  6. Cover dough and chill for 30 minutes.
  7. Once chilled, scoop dough onto parchment lined baking sheets. Press down the tops of the dough balls slightly with the back of a spatula.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool cookies on a wire rack completely.
  10. Serve.
