Ingredients

- 1 cup simple syrup (336 g)
- 3 whole star anises
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 cup brandy (240 mL)
- 2 cups orange juice (480 mL)
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 lime, sliced, plus more for garnish
- 1 bottle red wine, spanish red wine, such as Rioja

Preparation
- In a large pot over medium-low heat or a slow cooker, combine the simple syrup, star anise, cinnamon sticks, brandy, orange juice, orange, lemon, lime, and red wine.
- Stir well, cover, and simmer over low heat for at least 20 minutes, until warmed through.
