  • 12 oz broccoli florets (340 g)
  • ½ white onion, sliced
  • 1 ½ lb flank steak (680 g)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cups cooked wild rice (920 g), for serving

Steak Seasoning

  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Make the steak seasoning: In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder until combined.
  3. Arrange the broccoli, onion, and flank steak on a baking sheet. Drizzle the broccoli and onion with the olive oil, then season everything with the steak seasoning.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes, then broil for 2 minutes, or until the internal temperature of steak reaches 145°F (65°C) for medium, or your desired temperature. Let the steak rest 10 minutes before slicing.
  5. Serve with with wild rice. Leftovers will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
