- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red chile, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, seeded and diced
- ¼ lb chorizo (100 g), sliced
- ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 ¼ cups long grain rice (250 g)
- 1 ¾ cups water (400 mL)
- ⅔ cup peas (100 g)
- ⅓ lb prawns (150 g), peeled and deveined

Preparation
- In a large pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onions, garlic, chile, and red pepper and sauté for about a minute, until starting to soften.
- Add the chorizo and continue to cook for another minute or two.
