  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red chile, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and diced
  • ¼ lb chorizo (100 g), sliced
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 ¼ cups long grain rice (250 g)
  • 1 ¾ cups water (400 mL)
  • ⅔ cup peas (100 g)
  • ⅓ lb prawns (150 g), peeled and deveined

  1. In a large pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onions, garlic, chile, and red pepper and sauté for about a minute, until starting to soften.
