Spicy Golden Milk Brownies

Ingredients

for 16 servings

  • ¼ cup melted butter (55 g)
  • ¼ cup extra virgin coconut oil (60 mL), melted
  • 2 cups brown sugar (400 g)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon coriander
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 ½ cups flour (185 g)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease an 8x8 baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine your flour, spices, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together your melted butter, coconut oil, and brown sugar. Then, add in your vanilla.
  3. Combine your flour mixture with your wet ingredients and mix thoroughly to combine.
  4. Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 20 minutes.
  5. Let cool and serve.
