Tater Tot Casserole

Ingredients

for 4 servings

  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb ground beef (455 g)
  • 1 can cream of celery
  • 1 can peas, drained and rinsed
  • ¼ cup milk (60 mL)
  • ½ cup sour cream (120 g)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (200 g)
  • 1 bag frozen tater tot

Preparation

  1. Sauté your garlic and onion in a splash of olive oil until soft. Add beef and brown thoroughly.
  2. Place mixture in a casserole dish. To this, add all other ingredients except cheese and tater tots. Stir to combine.
  3. Top with cheese, then top with tots. Spray with cooking spray.
  4. Bake at 375°F for 25 minutes. Then, broil for 3-5 minutes or until brown.
  5. Serve warm.
