Ingredients
for 20 servings
- 1 gal apple cider (4 ½ L)
- 4 cups non-pulp orange juice (960 mL)
- 4 earl grey teabags
- 3 cinammon sticks
- 2 packets mulling spices
- 3 whole star anises
- 1 fresh ginger, 2-in (5-cm) piece, peeled
- 1 orange, sliced into rounds
- 1 apple, sliced
- 2 cups whiskey (480 mL)

Preparation
- In a large pot over high heat, add the apple cider, orange juice, tea bags, cinnamon sticks, mulling spice packets, star anise, peeled ginger, sliced oranges and apples. Let it come to a boil then turn down to low, cover with a lid, and let simmer for at least 30 minutes.
- Strain out the ginger and star anise.
- Add one shot of whiskey into a mug and pour, warmed, into the mug.
- Garnish with optional cinnamon sticks, orange slices, etc.
