Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients

for 3 servings

  • ⅔ cup sugar (135 g)
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder (25 g)
  • 3 tablespoons cornflour, or cornstarch
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk (480 mL)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Mix sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch and salt in a bowl. Once mixed, add milk
  2. and heat mixture on medium heat until thick.
  3. Once the mixture is thick, turn off heat and allow it to thicken further on the stove for 1 minute. Stir continuously.
  4. Add butter and vanilla. Stir and, once the mixture has cooled, cover with saran wrap and place in the refrigerator.
  5. Serve and enjoy.
