Chewy Chocolate Chip Toffee Cookies

Ingredients

for 18 servings

  • 2 ½ cups flour (310 g)
  • ¾ cup sugar (150 g)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 ½ cups light brown sugar (300 g)
  • 14 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 ¾ cups milk (300 mL), chocolate chips
  • ½ cup toffee bits (60 g)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, kosher salt, and baking powder.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium high heat.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, vanilla, and melted butter. Add the eggs to the butter mixture and whisk until completely combined.
  5. Slowly fold the butter mixture into the dry ingredients.
  6. Fold the chocolate chips and toffee bits into the dough.
  7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Then, add large scoops of the dough to the baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 11-16 minutes or until the top of the cookie is just golden brown. Rest the cookies to let them finish cooking through and to let them set.
  9. Serve while warm.
