Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Unwrap the puff pastry. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and generously sprinkle over both sides of each puff pastry sheet.
  3. Cut each sheet into 3 equal rectangles so you have 6 total.
  4. Roll one of the sheets up into a tight spiral, starting at a short end.
  5. Place the roll at the bottom of another puff pastry rectangle and roll up. Repeat with the remaining rectangles until you have 1 large spiral.
  6. Cut the roll in half and set one aside.
  7. Sprinkle your work surface with cinnamon sugar and add 1 spiral, cut-side up.
  8. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top and gently roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle.
  9. Place on one of the prepared baking sheets and repeat with the remaining roll.
  10. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the tops of each dough circle, then use a fork to prick holes all over the dough.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
