Dark Chocolate And Date Cookies

Ingredients

for 24 servings

  • 2 ¼ cups plain flour (280 g)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ cup date (100 g), (pitted and chopped)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate (100 g)
  • ¼ cup agave nectar (50 mL)
  • 1 cup golden syrup (200 mL)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (125 g), melted
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Mix together all the dry ingredients in a small bowl (including the dates and the chocolate). In a separate small bowl, mix together all the wet ingredients.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the baking tray.
  5. Bake in the oven for 11 minutes and let the biscuits cool for 1 minute on the tray before moving to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Serve.
