  • 5 cups brussels sprouts (500 g), halved
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup smoked bacon lardons (250 g)
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 ½ cups walnuts (150 g), chopped
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese (55 g)
  • ¼ cup olive oil (50 mL)
  • 1 cup shallots (100 g), chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cracked black peppercorn

Preparation

  1. Add the butter and oil to a frying pan on a medium heat and then add the chopped garlic and shallots, sweat for 4 minutes
  2. Add the bacon lardons and cook through for another 4 minutes
  3. Add the Brussels sprouts, walnuts, parmesan cheese and pepper and saute for 15 minutes or until the sprouts are soft to the bite
  4. Enjoy!
