Orange Julius

  • ½ cup sugar (100 g), divided
  • 1 orange zest
  • 1 orange wedge
  • 1 ½ cups ice (210 g)
  • 2 cups orange juice (480 mL)
  • ½ cup vodka (120 mL)
  • 1 cup whole milk (240 mL)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 orange wheels

Preparation

  1. On a small plate, mix together ¼ cup (50 G) sugar and the orange zest with a fork until well distributed.
  2. Rub the rims of 4 martini glasses with the orange wedge and dip into the sugar mixture to coat. Set aside.
  3. Add the ice, orange juice, vodka, remaining ¼ cup (50 G) sugar, the milk, and vanilla to a blender and blend until smooth.
