Air Fryer Monkey Bread Skewers

Ingredients
for 6 skewers
- avocado oil spray, for greasing
Cinnamon Roll Topping:
- ¼ cup (1/2 stick) salted butter, melted
- ½ cup dark brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Monkey Bread Dough:
- 1 ¼ cups self-rising flour, (see below for homemade self-rising flour recipe)
- 1 cup greek yogurt
- 6 wooden skewers
Vanilla Glaze:
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Homemade Self-Rising Flour:
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt

Preparation
- Preheat the air fryer to 325°F (160°C). Grease the air fryer basket with avocado oil spray.
- Make the topping: In a medium bowl, add the melted butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup. Use a spoon to mix until smooth. Set aside.
- Make the coating: In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.
- Make the dough: In a large bowl, add the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt. Use a spoon to mix until a dough forms. The dough will be a bit sticky. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, sprinkle the top with some more flour, and bring together with your hands. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces, then divide each piece into 4 smaller pieces, for 24 pieces total.
- Use your hands to roll each piece into a ball, then roll them in the cinnamon sugar until evenly coated. Slide 4 coated balls through each skewer.
- Place the skewers into the prepared air fryer basket. Pour half of the topping over the top of the skewers.
- Air fry for 9-10 minutes. Open the lid and pour the remaining topping over the skewers. Air fry for another 9-10 minutes, until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, make the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Place the skewers on a plate and drizzle with the glaze.
