French Onion Burger

Ingredients

for 3 servings

French Patty

  • 1 lb
    ground beef, 80% lean (455 g)
  • 1 teaspoon
    salt
  • 1 teaspoon
    pepper
  • 1 tablespoon
    oil
  • 3 hamburger buns

Toppings

  • 3 oz
    comté cheese, sliced (85 g)
  • 1 cup
    caramelized onion (150 g)
  • 1 cup
    fresh arugula (20 g)
  • mustard, of choice, to taste

Preparation

Under 30 min

  1. Mix together the patty ingredients until evenly combined.
  2. Form the beef into a round patty.
  3. Repeat with the remaining beef.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Cook the burgers for 3 minutes on the first side, flip, and place the slice of comté on top.
  6. Cook for 6 more minutes.
  7. Assemble the burgers on the buns with caramelized onions and arugula.
  8. Enjoy!
